On April 9, 2010 we saluted all who made the Ayer Anderson Wing possible through generous sponsorships, donations and gifts of time, talent and resources. A special debt of gratitude is extended to the members of the Gala Event Committee under the dynamic leadership of co-chairs, Allison and Preston Bradford, and honorary co-chairs, Patrice and John Tierney. Through their enthusiastic efforts, they have demonstrated their commitment to the important mission of Hospice of the North Shore. On behalf of the nearly 300 patients and families we serve each day, we are grateful.
In the coming weeks, we will begin caring for patients in the new Ayer Anderson Wing of the Kaplan Family Hospice House. Your support helps make the expansion possible, adding eight patient suites including a pediatric room, to Massachusetts’ first licensed hospice care facility. Your support enables us to help families keep the promises they make to their loves ones: to be able to spend their final days in comfort, peace and dignity. Whether at the Kaplan House, in long-term care facilities, in hospitals or in a patient’s own home – wherever we serve our patients – it is the generous support of the community that enables us to provide compassionate and quality care at the end of life for all who call upon us.
