Tree of Lights 2011
The Tree of Lights ceremonies have become a longstanding tradition for many families and a new way to start the holidays for those that have experienced recent loss.
Held in Danvers, Swampscott and Gloucester and now Wellesley in early December, more than 800 friends and families join to witness the tree lightings. Each ceremony was followed by a reception where attendees could enjoy refreshments and view their loved ones’ names inscribed in the Honor Roll book.
Hospice of the North Shore & Greater Boston gratefully acknowledges the support and hospitality of People’s United Bank, the Town of Swampscott, the First Church of Swampscott Congregational, BankGloucester and The Nelson Companies. Proceeds from the Tree of Lights support Hospice of the North Shore & Greater Boston’s mission to provide comprehensive and compassionate support for children and adults affected by life-limiting illness, death and loss; and bereavement support for their loved ones.
