Grief is a process unique to each person. But while we all heal at our own unique pace, there are times when professional assistance and resources can support you and your family cope during your grief journey.
Our level of expertise and the compassionate support we provide is why so many people have turned to the Center for Grief & Healing over the years.

Free Support Groups and Workshops
Check out our current calendar for adults and children
Facilitated by compassionate and specially trained bereavement professionals, our support groups help you understand the grieving process, learn ways to manage grief and find the strength to heal in a supportive setting.
Groups are offered throughout the year and cover the loss of different relationships, including spouse/partner, parent, sibling, or child. Workshops are also offered on a variety of subjects.
Our support group participants often tell us that the most important aspect of a support group is the opportunity to meet and share with people who have experienced a similar loss. You can share feelings, or simply listen.
Individual Consultations
A free one-time consultation session allows you to meet with a professional to discuss your feelings and your individual needs. We'll help you understand your feelings and what to expect while identifying resources and options to help you cope during this difficult time. Phone consultations are also available.
Comprehensive Lending Library
You may find comfort in researching and learning about your feelings and those of others. Our lending library includes an extensive collection of books, videos and articles on the grieving process.
Information & Referral
If you need help but aren't sure what resources are available or where to turn, our staff can make recommendations and help you access the services and programs that fit your individual needs. We also have an extensive database and provide information about programs throughout the state and the country.
Expert Support for Children & Teens
Ongoing support groups are designed by age level and facilitated by our children's program coordinator. In addition, we provide specialized parent workshops and community and school outreach, along with our array of other services to meet the specific needs of children.
Community Outreach
Our community outreach and education programs prepare businesses, schools, churches and other groups on how to manage and work with those who have been affected by grief. We can also provide free speakers on a number of grief-related topics.
Easy Access to Support
Community support makes it possible for us to provide most of our services without charge, enabling anyone in the community to access the support they need, whether or not their loved one was a HNS patient.
By supporting the Center for Grief & Healing as a volunteer or with your tax-deductible donation, you make it possible for us to continue our mission. More information is available online about becoming a volunteer or making a contribution.
